Seesaw Safety Precautions

1. Only one child should sit on each end of the seesaw. If two children have significantly different weights, discuss with them about switching to a child of similar weight, rather than placing another child on the lighter end.

2. The two children should sit facing each other on the seesaw, not back to back.

3. Have the child firmly grip the handles with both hands, avoiding attempts to touch the ground or letting their hands hang loose. Place both feet on the designated footrests. If there are no footrests, allow feet to hang naturally, but do not crouch under the seesaw, as this could trap feet when the seesaw tilts downwards.

4. Keep a safe distance from other children playing on the seesaw. Never put your feet under a tilting seesaw, stand in the middle of the crossbeams, or attempt to climb onto a tilting seesaw.
